Doubletree Entices Families With Kids Care Pack

The hotel chain made famous for its chocolate-chip cookies is dangling a one-of-a-kind premium just for kids who stay at its 120 hotels in the U.S. and Canada through Labor Day.

Doubletree Hotels has refreshed its kidsCarepak program with a focus on sports, offering guests with kids aged three to 12 an assortment of essentials during their summer travels. Doubletree’s 2006 kidsCarepak includes an inflatable soccer ball, deck of playing cards, world map spring toy, a flying saucer and an activity book and crayons.

“We’re trying to invoke the fun of summer,” said Ronnie Kaiser, senior director, brand marketing for Doubletree. “Doubletree offers a distinctive welcome. Parents get our signature cookies [upon check-in] and now kids get their own personalized souvenirs that last long after their stay.”

The kidsCarepaks are available to families with children at any room rate at Doubletree Hotels, which is part of the Hilton Family of Hotels. The premium gifts dovetail on Hilton’s sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Team.

“Sports is a great way for Doubletree to active its sponsorship [of the Olympic team],” Kaiser added.

KidCarepaks will be offered through Sept. 4 or until supplies last. Online materials and p.r. materials support. Doubletree handles in-house.
