Denny’s restaurants have partnered with Coca-Cola to offer additional ways to earn points under the My Coke rewards loyalty program.

People who visit restaurants in four test markets and buy a Coca-Cola fountain beverage, juice or one of Denny’s Fusion Favorites drinks will receive a peel-label coaster. Each coaster contains a code worth three points that members can bank toward My Coke Rewards prizes.

The participating restaurants are those located in Orlando, FL, Philadelphia, PA, Phoenix and San Diego, CA. It marks the first time Coke has partnered with a family dining restaurant chain for its online rewards program, Denny’s said.

In addition to the loyalty points, people who enter the codes will receive a coupon for 20% off their next Denny’s check.

“We want to create excitement in our restaurants with a value added program for our guests,” Denny’s spokesperson Debbie Atkins said. “It an extra incentive for our guests.”

The promotion runs through Sept. 15.

My Coke Rewards is the company’s first online loyalty program that rewards consumers for buying Coke-branded beverages. Since its launch in 2006, more than 33 million visitors to the MyCokeRewards.com site have received more than 1.3 million prizes including electronics, magazine subscriptions music downloads and sporting goods.

In-store signage and online banner ads support the four-week promotion. Publicis in Mid America handles the creative for Denny’s.
