Denny’s Names Presidential Posers in Contest

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

The votes are in and America has picked its top choices for the best presidential posers in Denny’s “Vote For Real” campaign.

Iman Crosson, a dancer, singer and actor from Los Angeles, took the top vote for the winning Democratic candidate look-alike and David Siegel, a Web researcher and improv comedian from New York City, earned the most votes for his Republican presidential candidate impression. Both will receive a presidential term’s worth of free breakfasts paid in Denny’s gift cards, which is equal to one meal at Denny’s per month until the next election in 2012.

Online voters chose their favorite candidates based on appearance, mannerisms, and an original speech about “real breakfast,” part of Denny’s ongoing campaign to promote its full service, made-to-order breakfast menu. Votes were cast at www.vote4real.com, where people can check out the winning impressions.

“The Vote for Real entries were extremely creative and connected our ‘real vs. fake’ breakfast message to the buzz of the election in a fun way,” Elizabeth Geer, senior director, advertising and brand communications for Denny’s, said in a statement.

Visitors to the site can also enter to win a trip to Washington, D.C., in the GO2DC sweepstakes, which ends in November.
