Denny’s Adds Free Kids Meal on Halloween

Denny’s is tapping a Halloween theme to give kids an extra treat.

Denny’s typically runs an offer on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for two free kids meals with the purchase of one regularly priced adult entrée. But, on Halloween, which falls on a Tuesday, Denny’s will add an additional incentive: a coupon for one extra free kids meal.

“It’s an added treat in order to encourage repeat business,” said Debbie Atkins, spokesperson, Denny’s. “We’ll be handing out the coupons to guests to encourage them to come back.” The coupons are valid for kids 10 and under.

Additionally, to help dress up kids for Halloween, kids can choose one of four free alien facemasks that are a part of its ongoing D-Zone Kid’s program, which engages kids with the masks and coloring sheets with space creatures during restaurant visits. The program also offers three new “rocket cups” that changes the color of drinks to blue, green or red.

Denny’s has encouraged restaurant operators across the country to participate in the Halloween coupon promotion.

“[The promotion] is all a part of our field marketing initiative to help give restaurant operators the opportunity to extend a national program in their local restaurants,” Atkins said.

Denny’s handles the promotion internally with in-restaurant signage supporting. Spartanburg, SC-based Denny’s has more than 1,600 restaurants across the U.S. and sales of more than $2 billion.
