Deluxe Corp. said it will close its Greensboro, NC and North Wales, PA, manufacturing facilities and its Thorofare, NJ manufacturing facility and call center, laying off 570 people.
The North Wales and Thorofare closures are expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2009 and the Greensboro facility will close later in the year.
The direct marketer also said it would lay off an unspecified additional number of employees by the end of the third quarter of 2009.
The St. Paul, MN firm noted it would provide eligible employees with transition support services including severance benefits, outplacement assistance and the opportunity to apply for other open positions.
