Cubs Field Samples, Honor Vets

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Chicago Cub fans will get some extra perks this week, courtesy of Kimberly-Clark and Unilever.

The marketers will distribute samples of Cottonelle tissue and Klondike ice cream bars at Wrigley Field for the Cubs’ June 1 game against the Atlanta Braves. It’s the ballpark’s first sampling push of the season, part of an ongoing program from marketing agency PromoWorks.

PromoWorks also will give the first 20,000 fans a scratch-and-win collector’s card featuring player Derrek Lee and awarding 100 home jerseys autographed by Lee. PromoWorks created the cards.

The agency also has given 100 tickets to patients of the Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center, and will host a reception before the game to honor those military veterans.
