Citysearch, the local Internet directory owned by IAC/InterActive Corp., confirmed that it will acquire Insider Pages, a Redwood City CA-based local search company featuring consumer reviews of products and services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Insider Pages claims to contain 600,000 local merchant reviews in 30 markets around the U.S. and received 2 million unique visits in January 2007, according to comScore Media Metrix.

Citysearch, which also offers consumer-generated reviews, claims the purchase will give it a database of 1 million user reviews and market directory information in more than 500 business categories ranging from restaurants and spas to plumbers to lawyers.

Insider Pages will move its headquarters to Citysearch’s San Francisco offices after purchase completion but will reportedly retain its brand identity within the company.

The company was founded in 2004 as an offering from the Idealab digital business incubator.
