Chick-fil-A Launches Cow Photo Contest

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Chick-fil-A is out with a new contest that gets kids posing with its iconic cow character for a chance to win prizes.

The company is searching for the best photo depicting its “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow. Parents are asked to submit pictures of their children ages 10 and under posing with the cow character at various locations around the globe.

Parents can upload photos through Sept. 30 to ShowUsTheCow.com. Entrants can download a paper cutout version of the cow or buy a stuff animal version from the site. Visitors can also vote for their favorite image.

One grand-prize winner will receive a U.S. Series EE savings bond worth $1,000, a catered party for his or her classroom, a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A Kid’s Meals and a digital camera.

“The Show Us the Cow promotion is a fun and creative way for families to interact with the Chick-fil-A brand,” said Angela Savage, a company senior creative services consultant, in a statement.

The chain is promoting the contest in its “Spot What!” books, which are available in Chick-fil-A Kid’s Meals this summer, and on the contest Web site.

It’s not the only campaign celebrating the “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow. As part of a separate promotion, Chick-fil-A is giving away a free combo meal on July 13 to customers who visit the chain’s 1,200 restaurants dressed as a cow. The promotion is tied to the company’s Cow Appreciation Day.
