Chandon Is Looking for a Few Good Hosts

Domaine Chandon is partnering with cable’s Fine Living Network in a video search for the best party-givers in America, and offering as part of the grand prize the chance to throw next year’s holiday entertainment soiree at Chandon’s Napa Valley winery.

Entrants who think they throw a unique bash can upload a two- to three-minute video of their best efforts at SavvyEntertainer.com through Jan. 4. They can then visit the Web site to see selected entries. The grand-prize winner chosen on Feb. 15. Judges will choose the winner based on the best integration of food and wine, most creative concept and best use of invitations and settings.

The grand-prize winner will receive $25,000 and will have the chance to set the concept and direction for the 2008 version of the annual holiday party Domaine Chandon has thrown at its Yountville, CA, vineyards for the last 35 years.

“Chandon is all about savvy entertaining, about bringing people together,” said Ryan Harris, vice president of marketing and business development, in a statement. “We know there are a lot of clever people out there with great ideas for entertaining in a special way. We want to recognize the person who embodies the Chandon philosophy and can bring all of the elements together to create a memorable event.”
