CCI, PCCI and Other Units Consolidate Into CCG

Full-service direct marketing firm Communication Concepts Inc. (CCI), Ivyland, PA, and the company’s three other operating units have been integrated into one. The new entity is known as Communications Concepts Group (CCG), and will be headquartered in Ivyland.

The units that have been consolidated are Pacific Communication Concepts Inc. (PCCI), Downey, CA; Marketing Communication Systems Inc. (MCS), Ivyland; and Database Marketing Concepts (DMC), Bohemia, NY.

Don McKenzie will continue as head of the new organization.

“Through this integration effort, we are creating a one-stop shop for our customers to handle the full range of direct marketing services,” McKenzie said, in a statement.

The company will be worth $100 million once the units are blended, according to spokesperson Steve McKay.

The old operating units had the following areas of responsibility: CCI and PCCI provided direct mail, fulfillment and statement processing services. MCS handled comprehensive marketing database development and management services. DMC offered list brokerage and management.

The initial phase of the integration will align services into three basic areas: campaign planning, campaign execution and continuity/loyalty campaigns, which will encompass the tasks of the old operating units. Sales and customer service have already been blended.

The company will work through the details of the reorganization by the end of the summer.
