Catalog, Online Sales Grow 21% in JoS. A. Bank Q3

JoS. A. Bank Clothiers reported that total sales grew 13.2% in third-quarter 2006 to $119.5 million from $105.6 million in the same quarter last year. Comparable-store sales were 2.3% higher during the period, while combined sales through catalogs and over the company’s Web site grew by 21.3% over the figure posted in Q3 2005.

The Hampstead MD-based men’s clothing chain posted total sales of $43.7 million during fiscal October, an 18.1% increase year over year. Combined catalog and online sales grew 9.8% during the month, and same-store sales rose 8.4% from last year’s third-quarter figure.

JoS. A. Bank operates360 stores in 42 states, including 35 new ones opened in the first nine months of this year.
