Brooks Sports Inc. has begun taking online orders athletic shoes at its Web site brooksrunning.com and given local retailers carrying its product line the option of fulfilling orders.
Retailers participating in the Brooks’ online marketing initiative will be able to track individual product orders and sales trends in within a 250-mile radius of stores.
“Our retailers have shown great loyalty to the Brooks brand and we look forward to showing them our loyalty by offering an e-commerce solution,” said Parker Karnan, vice president of apparel sales, in a prepared statement.
Brooks previously only provided consumers with general information on its Web site.
