Best Buy Piggybacks AAA for Satellite Radio Service

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Best Buy is targeting 50 million American Automobile Association members this summer with discounts on satellite radio and other automotive electronics.

Members get a 15% discount on the installation of satellite radio in their cars when they present their AAA card at Best Buy. The discount is also valid on the installation of stereos, CD and DVD players, hands-free phones and global-positioning units.

A separate offer from Sirius Satellite Radio gives AAA members a 20% discount on equipment, free shipping and free activation and one-month service (with an annual subscription).

The offers are part of AAA’s Show Your Card & Save program, which extends discounts on travel, entertainment, retail and automotive goods from national and local businesses to AAA members.

AAA’s other retail partners include Circuit City, New York & Co., Payless Shoe Source, and for online shopping only, Target.com and OfficeMax.com.

Best Buy first partnered with the AAA last fall, offering AAA members a 20% discount on in-home computer service from Best Buy’s Geek Squad.
