Bank of America Boosts Betty Boop Checks

Building on the popularity of Betty Boop credit cards it issued last year, the Bank of America is introducing a line of checking cards and checks adorned with the iconic image of the sexy cartoon character.

Betty Boop checking cards and checks are now available through 6,100 Bank of America banking centers and the official Betty Boop Web site at bettyboop.com.

The credit cards and new checking accounts carrying her image are the result of a licensing deal between Bank of America, King Features and Fleischer Studios, whose founder, Max Fleischer, created Betty Boop.

“People are always looking for easy ways to show what’s important to them. That’s exactly where the Bank of America Betty Boop banking products fit in.”, said Steve Gillin, Bank of America affinity banking executive, in a statement.

Betty Boop accounts are part of the Bank of America MyExpression suite of banking products, which enable customers to show off their loyalty to their favorite charity, school, professional organization or sports teat.

My Expression accounts offer customized checks, check cards and credit cards the product logo. Special benefits associated with Bank of America’s Keep the Change savings program that automatically rounds check card purchases up to the nearest whole dollar and savings account. Bank of America matches 100% of transfers for the first three months and five percent thereafter, up to a maximum of $250 per year.
