Avenue A|Razorfish, Seattle, has acquired Paris-based interactive agency Duke. The total purchase price will be based on Duke’s profits during the next three years, but Avenue A|Razorfish made an initial payment of approximately $7.9 million against future earnings.

Under the terms of the agreement, Duke will keep its brand identity and retain its current management team, which includes co-founders and co-presidents Christine Santarelli and Matthieu de Lesseux. Duke employs 130 workers. The agency expects to generate net revenue of between $12 and $14 million during the remainder of 2007.

In addition to its French offices, Duke has a presence in the United Kingdom. The company offers a variety of digital services, including strategy, creative design, IT, search engine marketing and Web site hosting.
