Artists Gain Revenue with UrbanWorld Wireless, InfoSpace

InfoSpace Mobile, a provider of mobile content, data infrastructure, tools and applications, and UrbanWorld Wireless, a wireless provider of urban entertainment news, lifestyle and mobile marketing, have partnered for the management of artist mobile rights and development of mobile content.

The partnership will allow Los Angeles-based UrbanWorld Wireless to act as an agent for artists who wish to develop mobile content such as ring tones, voice ringers and wallpapers, and to assist artists with management of their mobile rights.

UrbanWorld Wireless joins a growing portfolio of content providers such as Island/Def Jam, Major League Baseball Advanced Media, Universal Music Group, Accuweather, AP News, Corbis and American Greetings that rely on InfoSpace Mobile to market, merchandise and deliver their brands and content in a mobile environment.

Bellevue, WA-based InfoSpace Mobile, an InfoSpace Inc. company, will manage the exclusive distribution of UrbanWorld Wireless content across the major wireless carriers throughout North America.
