Arby’s Issues Kenseth-Branded Gift Cards

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

In the latest sponsorship tie-in to NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth, Arby’s is selling limited edition gift cards bearing Kenseth’s picture.

The wallet-sized cards can be purchased in $10 and $20 denominations at Arbys.com. They can be used on food purchases at any of the 3,600 Arby’s locations nationwide, the company said.

Arby’s is the primary sponsor of the #17 Ford that Kenseth drives in the NASCAR Busch racing series. Each time he wins a NASCAR Busch or Nextel series race, the following Monday the company gives out free medium curly fries to customers. It’s happened twice so far this season.

Kenseth made a personal appearance at an Arby’s in Indianapolis prior to the Brickyard 400 earlier this year to give out free Chicken Poppers, a new item on the Arby’s menu (Promo Xtra, July 26, 2007).
