APAC Customer Services to Sell Paragren, Announces Hires

APAC Customer Services, Inc. Deerfield, IL, has signed an agreement to sell its Paragren Technologies, Inc. subsidiary, which consists of the Paragren Software business. While the buyer has not been disclosed, a spokesperson for APAC characterized it as a competitor to APAC. The transaction is expected to close in January.

APAC also announced three new hirings. John Gray has joined the company as senior vice president of its new CustomerAssistance.com division, which specializes in electronic customer relationship management products and services. Gray had previously been senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce for Automatic Data Processing Inc. William Krohn is also joining the division as vice president for sales and marketing. Krohn had previously been vice president and general manager of Cars.com.

Additionally, Carlos Galarce is joining APAC as the company’s chief information officer. Galarce was previously director of information technology for Sears, Roebuck & Co. Galarce will work with both the parent company and the CustomerAssistance.com subsidiary.
