American Airlines Rolls Out AAdvantage Milestones E-Magazine
American Airlines has launched a new e-magazine meant to engage and connect its millions of loyalty program members with an online community.
The e-magazine, called AAdvantage Milestones, offers a series of videos showcasing the airline and the destinations it flies. Regan Burns of Comedy Central hosts the two-minute video tours, which show the airline’s lighter side of brand marketing.
The magazine includes travel information and tips on the highlighted destination and offers for its AAdvantage loyalty program. It also lets members share personal photos of the featured destinations.
The magazine is available at AA.com/Milestones. American Airlines and TM Advertising, the airline’s advertising agency of record, developed the concept.
“Finding innovative and creative ways to increase consumer participation in the AAdvantage program is one of the company’s top priorities,” said Kurt Stache, president of AAdvantage marketing programs, in a statement. “Our customers tell us they want more information on vacation destinations. We think our new e-magazine will break through the clutter and deliver that content in a contemporary, engaging and entertaining way.”
The AAdvantage program, which launched in 1981, has more than 56 million members.
