Affiliate Summit West 2010 Party List

Posted on

For all of the effort that conference organizers go through to create a meaningful event so much of the work goes unnoticed thanks to the hard work of another organizer – the party organizer. It’s a love hate relationship between conference organizers and party throwers.

You will never hear of someone not going to a conference because there were too many options with regards to partying. But, you might hear some speakers, though, wondering why their sessions are empty. Alas, if only they could blame a single party. Instead, they will have their pick, just as the lucky few (hundred) will have their pick of some of the best parties to ever hit Affiliate Summit.

Event: XY7 / myAds
When: Sunday, January 17
Details: 10am – 7pm
Where: Palazzo Suite at the Rio
RSVP: http://xy7.com/ASW2010/
Why we like it: No sales pitch, and thankfully someone else likes football and the Playoffs.
Will you be watching the game or the cheerleaders in the suite? And, did we mention 9 hours of partying?
Event: Meetup202
When: Monday, January 18
Details: 6pm – 9pm
Where: Palms Hotel Fantasy Tower, Palms Ballroom (2nd floor)
RSVP: http://rsvp.meetup202.com/vegas/invite
Why we like it: They are providing transportation from the Rio. It’s a half mile walk at most, but you’ll need the energy later.
Event: Affiliate Summit Tip Off Party
When: Sunday, January 17
Details: 9pm – 6am
Where: Hardwood Suite at the Palms Hotel
RSVP: http://www.affiliatesummittipoffparty.com/
Why we like it: Others have done the Hardwood Suite, but not until 6am. That’s no type. 9pm – 6am.
Event: Copeac Party Like a Rockstar
When: Sunday, January 17
Details: 8pm – 12am
Where: Tryst at the Wynn
RSVP: http://www.copeac.com/TrystParty2010/email/email.html
Why we like it: Great venue. Hot girls. It’s Copeac. Need we say more? Party like a rock star indeed.
Event: Neverblue Media / Plenty of Fish Paper Clique Jump Off Party
When: Sunday, January 17
Details: 9pm – 11pm for free drinks
Where: Palms Hotel Sky Villa (exact villa not specified)
RSVP: http://www.neverblue.com/party/
Why we like it: Paper Clique…Pa*per Clique…. get it? They are so punny. And, if you’re starstruck,
hopefully Marcus will be there in person and not just paying some of the drink tab.
Event: A LashBack 2010 Exclusive
When: Monday, January 18
Details: 6pm – 9pm
Where: Palms Hotel – Room withheld
RSVP: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=240231812046
Why we like it: Lashback decided to use Facebook as a way to manage the event.
I don’t see others adopting, but it’s a nice real world test of Facebook’s platform.
Event: Epic Advertising Private Party
When: Monday, January 18
Details: 9pm – 1am
Where: Palms Hotel – Hugh Hefner Sky Villa
RSVP: Talk to your Affiliate Manager.
Why we like it: They say it will be the best party. And, for those who have been to or heard about their prior private events, they have the credibility to make such claims.
Event: The Clickbooth VIP Party
When: Monday, January 18
Details: 10pm – TBD
Where: Hangover Suite at Caesar’s Palace
(from the movie not how you will feel the next day)
RSVP: http://cbpixelstudio.com/clients/nferruso/clickbooth/Affiliate_Summit_West/party_eblast_landing/eblast/CBpartyeblast.html
Why we like it: You won’t find the time of the event anywhere on the party, and while others, namely Copeac and CX have a multi-media experience for their invitation, Clickbooth makes a strong case for most impressive digital experience. Plus, we love the "Contact your Clickbooth Affiliate Strategist" line. Strong plug for new signups, but they make it awfully tempting.
Event: CX Digital Billionaire’s Party
When: ???
Details: ???
Where: Palms Hotel
RSVP: http://www.cxdigitalmedia.com/theparty/2010.html
Why we like it: Sexy soundtrack. Reeks of exclusivity. And, we don’t even know the date! The big question is can it live up to the hype?
