Acxiom Nearly Doubles Third-Quarter Net Earnings

Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, had fiscal 2000 third-quarter revenue of $244.3 million, up 26% from revenues of $193.9 for the same quarter a year ago. Net earnings for the quarter were $26.4 million compared to $14 million in the previous year’s third quarter.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2000, the company had revenue of $702.6 million , up 30% from $538.4 million. Net earnings for the nine months were $63.5 million, compared to a loss in the previous year of $34.7 million.

The quarter ended Dec. 31.

Acxiom reported strong revenue growth for the quarter for each of its business segments. The services segment reported revenues of $156.1 million for the quarter, up 36% over the prior year. The data products segment reported revenues of $60.7 million, up 33%, and the information technology management segment reported revenues of $50.1 million, up 10%.
