Acxiom Has Solid First Quarter

Acxiom Corp.’s revenue during its first fiscal quarter rose 22%, from $236.7 millino a year ago to $289 million. While its operating income more than doubled, from $11.2 million to $25.4 million, higher tax payments kept its net income at $12.9 million, up from the $11.3 million it recorded a year ago. The quarter ended June 30.

The Little Rock, AR-based data firm announced it had inked new contracts worth $17 million and renewal contracts amounting to $10 million during the quarter, and that it has $58 million committed to new deals “in the pipeline.”
