Acxiom has acquired the direct marketing technology unit of Alvion, a Cape Coral, FL Web applications developer.
Terms were not disclosed.
Mary Jo Yafchak, a former Alvion president, will be responsible for the product, sales and marketing functions of the acquired unit while Gary Schmidt, Alvion president and part-owner, will manage the technical operations.
This unit includes a fulfillment platform that can be used by small to medium-sized businesses to access marketing information, according to Alvion.
