4Kids TV Kicks Off Sixth Season with Sweepstakes

4Kids Entertainment is supporting the sixth season of its Saturday morning kids block on Fox with a new look and sweepstakes, which offers the chance to win a video game system prize pack and other items.

Starting Sept. 8, viewers tune in to 4Kids TV, the four-hour-long kids’ programming block on Fox, to watch for a missing piece to a puzzle and enter the sweepstakes.

Each Saturday, a new puzzle will appear through Sept. 29. Kids collect the four pieces and visit 4kids.tv/promotions/gamestationsweeps to complete the puzzle.

One grand-prize winner will receive four video game systems ( a Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and a Nintendo DS) and $4,000. One first-prize winner gets season passes for four to Six Flags Theme Parks. Lesser prizes include KB Toys gift cards.

Patrner Six Flags is supporting the promotion with signage at the participating theme parks. In addition to in-store signage and online marketing, KB Toys is handing out limited edition collectible cards tied to the sweepstakes. Each includes a $5 off KB Toys coupon. The cards drive viewers to 4Kids TV to participate in the promotion.

The sweepstakes, which 4Kids is handling in-house, is designed to build excitement and buzz around 4Kids TV’s sixth season and its new tagline “The Game Station.”

“Kids don’t just watch TV anymore—they want to get involved, interact—experience the characters, the stories and the action for themselves,” Alfred R. Kahn, chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment, said in a statement. “‘The Game Station’ is the perfect moniker to reflect that our shows are all about having fun.”

Three new shows have been added to the lineup this season. “Yu-Go-Oh GX,” a series based on the card game phenomenon, follows the story of Jaden and his friends in dueling prep school as they face new rivals and monsters. The show premieres at 8:30 a.m. ET on Sept. 8.

“Dinosaur King” follows at 8:30 a.m. ET. In it, Max, Rex and Zoe find that they can bring dinosaurs to life and control them with ancient stone fragments and mysterious cards. But an evil organization scattered the cards around the world. So the team must race around the planet to control the dinosaurs.

“The Adrenaline Project,” is a reality show that drops five teens at Base Camp each week to train for a chance to experience the ultimate rush. Competitors will go head-to-head to reach the final event, which could include bungee jumping or white water kayaking. The show debuts at 8 a.m. ET Sept. 29.

Returning shows on 4Kids TV include “Chaotic,” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: fast Forward” “Viva Piñata,” “Sonic X” and ‘Winx Club.”
