Ventura Foods Buys Marie's Dressings and Dean's Dips

Ventura Foods, LLC, plans to acquire Marie's dressings and Dean's dips businesses from Deans Foods Co.

The deal includes a long-term license agreement for Ventura to use the Dean's trademark on dips. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The sale will be completed following antitrust procedures.

Ventura Foods, based in Brea, CA, is a manufacturer and marketer of edible oil products, including shortenings and cooking oils, mayonnaise, dressings, sauces, margarine and flavor bases. It sells its products to foodservice, retail, industrial and private label markets.
