Just in time for Valentine's Day, the New England Confectionery Co. (NECCO) has licensed FunMail the rights to provide wireless wallpaper images of its Sweethearts Conversation Hearts candy collection via mobile phones.
Digital images of heart-shaped wireless wallpaper images include well-known preprinted wordings such as "Be Mine," "Forever," "Love You," "Hug Me," "Kiss Me," "Marry Me" and "Miss You," along with three blank ones that let users customize their messages. The wallpaper messages can be forwarded to friends.
The images are available to subscribers to Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Cingular Wireless, Alltell and U.S. Cellular.
Last week, NECCO unveiled its new Sweethearts messages for 2005. They include: "#1 Fan," "Fit for Love," "Dream Team," "Love Life," "Be A Sport," "Love My Team," "Cheer Me On," "Be My Hero," "Heart Of Gold" and "All-Star.
FunMail, Pleasanton, CA, received the licensing rights from NECCO through a deal brokered by Brand Central, Los Angeles.
