Sharper image Corp. reported sales of $36.4 million for June, off 21% from $46 million last year.
The San Francisco firm reported catalog/direct marketing sales of $7.6 million for the month, off 10% from $8.5 million last year.

“The June sales results continue to reflect previously disclosed softness in three major categories: the slowing of Ionic Breeze Purifiers, the slowing of massage chairs, and the discontinuation of the Apple iPod sales,” said CEO Richard Thalheimer in a statement.
But Thalheimer added: “There are many parts of our recovery strategy that are working well.”
The company reported Internet sales of $5.4 million for the month ended June 30, off 19% from $6.7 million last year.
