RC Cola Celebrates its 100th Birthday

RC Cola is turning 100 this year and its maker, Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, is set to break a summer-long promotion to celebrate.

As part of the festivities, special 100th anniversary packaging will be unveiled, supported by a sweepstakes in local markets dangling such prizes as RC T-shirts, caps, bicycles, coolers and RC Cola products.

"Since its launch in 1905, when a young pharmacist decided to supply his family's grocery store with drinks that he produced and bottled, RC Cola has maintained a loyal following because of its refreshing signature taste," said Charlotte Dimery, brand manager for RC Cola, in a statement.
