Office Depot Names Newman Executive VP and CFO

Office Depot has named Mike Newman executive vice president and chief financial officer. He replaces Charles Brown, interim CFO, who will continue in his role as president, international.

He comes from Dallas-based Platinum Research Organization, where he was senior vice president and CFO.

Previously, he was the CFO at Radio Shack, Intimate Brands, and Hussmann International. He also spent 17 years at General Electric in a variety of management roles both in the U.S. and Europe.
