Multiple Zones Losses Deepen

Multiple Zones International Inc., the computer direct marketer based in Renton, WA, reported a consolidated net loss from operations of $2.7 million, for the quarter ended Dec. 31, down from net income of $519,000 in the fourth quarter of 1998.

Fourth quarter net domestic sales dropped 1.7% to $119.4 million from $121.4 million in the fourth quarter of 1998.

For the year ended Dec. 31, the firm reported a consolidated net loss of $6.7 million, an improvement over its 1998 loss of $8.3 million.

For the year, domestic net sales increased 6.7% to $449.8 million from $421.6 million in the prior year.
