McCann-Erickson WorldGroup’s MRM Partners Worldwide has acquired TPD, London, and its U.S. subsidiary, Fluent Communications, Seattle. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
TPD also has changed its named to "just customer communication." The two newly acquired businesses will operate as independently branded units of The Publishing Agency International (TPAI), the custom publishing and branded content network of MRM Partners Worldwide. TPAI also has publishing units in New York, Madrid and Amsterdam.
Fluent Communications, is a U.S. custom publisher that specializes in integrating targeted print, Web and email messages into a seamless communication program, is in the forefront of custom publishing trends in the US.
Simon Kelly will retain his position as president of Fluent Communications and Julian Treasure will still run Fluent as chairman. No other personnel moves are anticipated, according to an MRM spokesperson.
"Fluent Communications has proven to be adept in creating strong editorially driven programs that inspire customer loyalty. Their skills are a significant addition to our branded-content capabilities." said Kirk Cheyfitz, TPAI managing director, in a statement.
