Marketing services firm Maritz has acquired evolve24, an analytics and social media research firm. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
The acquisition puts evolve24 under the Maritz Research umbrella. Evolve24 uses a variety of traditional and social channels to measure audiences’ views of their clients’ reputation and risk.
Evolve24 will function as a standalone business under Maritz Research, and will bear the name evolve24, a Maritz Research Company. Anthony Sardella, who founded evolve24 and serves as its CEO, will remain in that position and report to Jim Stone, executive VP and chief research officer at Maritz Research.
The company employs 30 workers, who will move to the Maritz campus in St. Louis in 2011. Evolve24 will maintain its two-man Chicago office, and through a spokesperson Stone said the company may expand, reflecting Maritz Research’s Chicago presence.
