During its annual shareholders meeting on July 18, gifts and housewares cataloger Lillian Vernon Corp., Rye,NY, gave a sneak preview of its redesigned Web site.
The revamped Web site, slated to go live in early October, will carry the cataloger’s entire line of 6,000 product SKUs and will combine enhanced graphics with new features, such as up-selling and cross-selling suggestions, real-time inventory status and online order tracking.
According to Lillian Vernon president Kevin Green, "As a multichannel retailer, we realize that the Internet is a cost-effective tool and a more efficient way to process orders than phone or mail. One goal is to increase Internet shopping to reduce printing and postage costs."
