Advertising conglomerate Leo Burnett USA has created a new unit, LeoHealth, to cater to it’s existing health care direct marketing clients as well as position itself to attract new ones. The unit is run by Mary Bishop, president and chief marketing officer of Burnett USA.
LeoHealth starts with a staff of 45 and billings of $150 million. The unit will partner with Starcom USA for integrated media strategy. Jan Anderson is managing director and Gerry Miller is president and chief creative officer.
Current clients include Eli Lilly Co. (Prozac), Pharmacia/Pfizer (Celebrex), and Aventis (Allegra). In addition there are such over-the-counter products as Metamucil and Pepto-Bismol (both Procter & Gamble) as well as Pharmavite Corp.’s Nature Made Vitamins.
