KELLOGG'S, AMERICAN AIRLINES EXTEND MILES GIVEAWAY

Kellogg's, Battle Creek, MI, and American Airlines, Chicago, last week expanded the American Dream frequent-flyer promotion the two first launched in 2000 by adding new cereal brands. The program, which offers 100 miles for every box purchased, has been extended through December 2002. Kellogg’s is using a new instant-win game offering five one-million-mile prizes to herald the expanded program. Radio spots along with airport ads and taxi boards support. DraftWorldwide, Chicago, handles the promotion, Leo Burnett USA, also Chicago, does the advertising. Chicago-based American Airlines assists with Kellogg’s inserts in direct mail sent to consumers around hub cities.
