Omaha NE-based database provider infoUSA announced Friday that it will purchase Opinion Research Corp., a supplier of market research services to business and government clients.
InfoUSA said it will pay about $134.3 million for the Princeton NJ-based company, including the assumption of debt. The deal will be financed with a combination of cash on hand and borrowing under existing credit arrangements and is expected to close in fourth quarter 2006.
“This is a compelling transaction that fits well with our strategic plan to leverage our existing capabilities and expand our presence in the market research sector,” said Vin Gupta, chairman and CEO of infoUSA. “The transaction will allow our Donnelly Group to offer market research services to its customers and the Opinion research Corp. team to offer databases and database services to its clients.”
