Harland Clarke Acquires Two DM Firms

Harland Clarke Corp. has acquired two direct marketing services firms.

Harland Clarke Corp. has acquired two direct marketing services firms. Terms of each acquisition were not revealed.

In December, the marketing technology firm acquired both acquired Protocol Integrated Marketing Services (IMS), and SubscriberMail. Protocol Integrated is the direct marketing arm of Protocol Global Solutions. SubscriberMail is an email service provider and technology firm.

Protocol IMS provides Harland Clarke with database marketing and inbound and outbound capabilities. The SubscriberMail gives the firm on-demand email marketing functions.

With the acquisitions of Protocol IMS and SubscriberMail, Harland Clarke expanded its client base into multiple industries, including healthcare, insurance, retail, pharmaceutical, technology, software, telecommunications, and manufacturing fields.

“For the past four decades, Harland Clarke has focused on meeting the direct and email marketing needs of our clients,” said Harland Clarke president and COO Dan Singleton in a statement. “Our purpose has always been to help our clients acquire, onboard, grow, and retain valuable customer relationships for the long-term. This same level of commitment was demonstrated by Protocol IMS and SubscriberMail; it was a factor in our decisions to acquire both companies.”
