Hacker Group Launches Health Insurance Marketing Practice

Hacker Group has created HealthHG, a dedicated health insurance marketing unit. The direct and digital marketing group’s new operation is lead by Jill Kaufman, group VP of account Services and Tom Reid, chief strategist.

Current clients include Highmark Blue Shield, EmblemHealth, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.

“Health insurance marketing is highly regulated and nuanced with complexities,” Kaufman said in a statement. “Success depends on marketers’ ability to exploit knowledge of the regulatory environment as well as very specialized direct/digital practices.”

The creation of HealthHG follows the recent passage of a federal healthcare bill, in which mandated requirements for health coverage have widened.

“Now more than ever, health insurance marketers need to be both strategic and nimble in quickly taking advantage of new opportunities,” Reid said in a statement.
