Gateway Industries Inc. has acquired Oaktree Systems Inc., a database development, consolidation and management service provider with a sideline in Web site design and maintenance services. Oaktree shareholders were paid cash and shares of Gateway’s common stock and have entered into employment agreements; other terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Oaktree’s offering include DB-Cultivator, a fully relational, multi-user database product, which provides clients with segmentation and analysis tools necessary to manage a direct marketing database via the Internet on a real-time basis; Health E Store (http://www.healthe-store.com) an online resource for customers interested in further developing a healthy lifestyle; and NetPlay (http://www.netplayonline.com) an Internet-based sports administration package.
Oaktree is based in Calverton, NY. Its customer base consists of nonprofit organizations, charities and publishing companies. Frank Mackay will continue as president of Oaktree.
