H. Robert Wientzen has joined the board of directors of MetroGroup Corp., Lincoln, NE. Wientzen was previously employed as president and CEO of the Direct Marketing Association, preceding John A. Greco, who took over from him in August 2004.
Before joining the DMA, Wientzen was chairman and CEO of Advanced Promotion Technologies Inc., and held a variety of marketing positions with Procter & Gamble. He also served as chairman of the American Forest & Paper Association’s Paper Industry Association Council.
“We are honored to have Bob join us on our board, as he is an accomplished and respected industry leader who will be a great asset and a trusted advisor to us as we implement our growth initiatives at MetroGroup Corp.,” said Jim McQuaid, chairman of MetroGroup, in a statement.
MetroGroup consists of two divisions: Lettershop direct mail production and Cole Information Services, a resident and business information provider.
