Fingerhut Direct Marketing is recalling some cookware made in China after reports that some customers were burned, it was announced last week.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Thursday of about 9,000 Chef's Mark 15-piece cookware sets, claiming the handles can break.

According to the commission, Eden Prairie, MN-based Fingerhut received six reports of handles breaking and three reports of minor burns.

The Chef’s Mark 15-piece sets were sold exclusively by Fingerhut catalogs and Fingerhut.com from January through October for about $80 each.

“Consumers should stop using the cookware immediately and contact Fingerhut to receive a free repair kit,” the commission said in its announcement. “Fingerhut is directly contacting purchasers.”
