Equifax, Atlanta, has acquired Clearing de Informes, a consumer credit information provider based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Equifax did not disclose the purchase arrangement.
The acquisition makes Uruguay the sixth Latin American country that houses an Equifax presence, joining Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and El Salvador. Clearing de Informes has annual revenue of approximately $5 million, and employs 73 staffers.
