E-mail marketing services firm Epsilon Interactive is expected to announce today it has acquired Big Designs Inc., a Point Pleasant, N.J. graphic arts shop with a strong background in print.

The company has done catalog work for A&E, The History Channel and CDW. According to the company's Web site, in the last year it has launched or redesigned magazine titles for Time Warner, Ziff-Davis, Condè Nast and Hanley-Wood, among others.

Big Design's founder, Anthony D'Elia, will be head of creative services for Epsilon Interactive. D'Elia was design director for Smart Money, Living Well, ESPN Magazine and Marie Claire before founding Big Designs, according to the companies.

"Anthony D'Elia and his team have a well-earned reputation for providing creative design that is not only graphically engaging, but also connects with customers on a deeper, more personal level," said Al DiGuido, president and CEO of Epsilon Interactive, in a statement. "The addition of Big Designs comes at a time when email is increasingly seen as the channel most effective in creating a bond and facilitating commerce between sellers and buyers."
