Engage Forms New Divisions; Garrick Resigns

Online marketer Engage Technologies Inc.,Andover, MA, has named several senior management appointments and formed three new business divisions.

In addition, George Garrick, former chairman and CEO of Flycast, has resigned the company as co-president, the company said. In January, Engage formed a definitive agreement to acquire Flycast Communications Corp. and Adsmart Corp., a deal expected to close by early May. As part of that announcement Garrick and John Federman were to co-occupy the interim position of president.

Federman has been named executive vice president of worldwide sales and business development.

The new divisions are: Engage Media, Engage Business Media and Engage Enabling Technologies. The divisions were created following the acquisitions and will offer the company’s partners and customers online marketing services related to targeting and converting prospects to long-term customers.

The additional appointment include:

* Lyn Chitow Oakes, executive vice president and general manager, who will oversee Engage Media.

* Joanne Currie, general manager, who will head Engage Business Media

* Kimo Kong, general manager, will manage the world wide, day-to-day operations of the Engage Enabling Technologies division

* Greg Reid, chief knowledge officer, whose responsibilities include creating internal knowledge transfer strategies and processes

* Peter Hay, chief customer officer for North America

* Jim Alla, executive vice president, sales

* Peter Nicas, executive vice president of strategy and business development

* John McNamara, general manager, Engage Knowledge, a database of over 52 million anonymous profiles. He is also in charge of developing the company’s online media initiatives.
