Brookstone, Inc., Nashua, NH, had November-December sales of $146 million, a 16.5% increase over the $125.3 the chain saw during the same time last year. The increase was lead by direct marketing sales, which increased to $21.3 million from $13.3 million last year, with Internet sales accounting for approximately $3.0 million versus $0.3 million in the comparable period last year. In contrast, same store sales increased 7.3% for the period.
Total sales for the year-to-date period were $305.5 million, an increase of 17.3%, compared to last year’s sales of $260.4 million, with same store sales increasing 5.8%.
