DoubleClick Retires ‘Intelligent Targeting’ Product

Internet advertising company DoubleClick Inc. has discontinued its Intelligent Targeting service, which helped marketers target ads based on browsing patterns of Internet users.

“Given the focus of our business, we have decided that the Intelligent Targeting product is not something we plan to pursue in today’s environment,” stated a DoubleClick spokesperson.

As the media environment has foundered, New York-based DoubleClick has been focusing more energies on the e-mail marketing part of its business.
