The Direct Marketing Association has elected new officers and board members for its 2010-2011 term, which started Oct. 18.
Allied World Assurance Co. senior VP for accident and health and CMO, Asia Eugene R Raitt, was elected chair. Raitt, who served as vice chairman in 2009, succeeded American Institute for Cancer Research executive VP and COO Kelly B. Browning. Browning will continue to serve on the board.
In addition, DMA board members elected the following officers: David S. Williams, president and CEO of Merkle Inc. and the DMA’s the former treasurer, will serve as vice chairman; G. Steven Dapper, founder of hawkeye, was elected treasurer; and Brian Wolfe, executive VP for consumer marketing and sales at Time Inc. will be secretary.
Twelve new members joined the board as well. The new board members are:
Chris Bradley, president and CEO at Cuddledown; Matt Blumberg, CEO and chairman of Return Path; Ken A. Dawson, CMO of Infocision; Arjan Dijk, director of global acquisition marketing at Google; Bill L. Fairfield, CEO of infoGROUP Inc.; Edwin P. Garrubbo, CEO at Creative Commerce, LLC; John B. Kahan, general manager of business and customer intelligence within the online services division at Microsoft; John A. Meyer, CEO and president at Acxiom; Gian-Carlo Peressutti, senior VP of public affairs at RR Donnelley; Nicholas P. Staheyeff, VP and CFO of international for eBay International AG; David R. Verklin, CEO at Canoe Ventures LLC; and David A. Williams, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
Arun Sinha, CMO and chief communications officer at Zurich Financial Services, was elected to a third term on the board, and Gerry Pike, managing director at DMSA, Inc. and Joel Quadracci, president and CEO at Quad/Graphics, Inc. were both elected to second terms.
The incoming officers, re-elected members and twelve new DMA board members join 27 board members who were not up for election.
