Consumers Say E-Shopping Bests Traditional Retailing: Poll

Consumers find e-shopping bests traditional retailing on four of six key shopping measures, according to a recent poll conducted by @plan Inc.

The four areas were: convenience, (83% to 13%), finding the best price (59% to 31%), the ability to comparison shop (58% to 35%) and finding what you were looking for (58% to 31%).

The two measures in which traditional retaining bested online shopping were customer service (60% to 25%) and credit card security (49% to 20%).

The poll randomly sampled 1,000 US adult consumers, 18 years of age and older. Respondents had shopped online in the past three months.
