CDC Software has acquired PlanTec Limited, an Australian business intelligence and information technology consulting services firm. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition will dovetail with Praxa Australia, CDC's consulting services unit. Queensland-based PlanTec has traditionally provided business intelligence services to the health, retail, commercial, telecommunications, waste and utilities sectors. The company employs more than 30 workers in its Brisbane and Sydney offices.
Peter Johnson, the former CEO of PlanTec, has been named general manager of Praxa Queensland.
