Negotiators for Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CPWU) were still talking Monday afternoon in hopes of averting a strike by the 48,000-member labor group.
According to news reports, the union had originally been set to walk of the job last Friday but then agreed to postpone any job actions untl 12:01 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Wages, job security, benefits, as well as workload and safety were still on the table.
